What's considered

What affects your quote

Certificate, no-copay, urgent and without-NIE quotes

Avoid these

Mistakes when requesting a quote

A few common slips: not saying which visa route you're applying for, requesting ordinary resident cover when visa-suitable cover is needed, choosing a policy with copayments when no-copay is required, using travel or international cover without checking visa suitability, mismatching the policy start date, forgetting dependants, not declaring applicant ages correctly, and leaving the request until the appointment is too close.

Spain visa health insurance quote FAQs

How do I get a Spain visa health insurance quote?+

Complete the quote form on this page. Tell us your visa or residency route, nationality, the country you are applying from, your preferred policy start date, the number of applicants and their dates of birth, plus whether you need no-copay cover or a certificate. Once we have those details, we will review suitable visa-ready private health insurance options for your Spanish visa, residency or renewal situation and explain what fits.

What information do you need to quote?+

We typically need your visa or residency route, nationality, the country you are applying from, your preferred policy start date, the number of applicants and their dates of birth, and whether you need no-copay cover or a certificate. Telling us your appointment or submission deadline and whether you already have an NIE also helps us prioritise your enquiry and tailor the options to your specific circumstances and timeline.

Can I get a quote before I have an NIE?+

In many cases, yes. Many applicants request and arrange Spanish visa health insurance before they have an NIE, because the policy is usually needed for the visa application itself. Passport details can often be used first, with the NIE added later where necessary, depending on insurer rules and the policy selected. If you do not yet have an NIE, simply mention this in the quote form and we will guide you.

Can I get a quote for my spouse or family?+

Yes. We can quote for single applicants, couples and families on the same enquiry. In the quote form, set the number of applicants and add each person's date of birth, because age, medical history and the visa route can affect the options for each individual. Listing everyone together helps us review suitable family cover and check whether one policy or separate policies works best for your application.

Can I get no-copay health insurance for a Spanish visa?+

Yes, where available. Many Spanish visa routes expect or require private health insurance without copayments, deductibles or cost-sharing, and this is especially common for Non-Lucrative Visa applications. If you need no-copay cover, select that option when requesting your quote, and tell us if your consulate or adviser has specifically asked for it, so we can review suitable no-copay options for your route and applicants.

Can I get a certificate for my Spanish visa application?+

Yes, where available. Visa applicants usually need proof of health insurance, often as a policy certificate together with proof of payment. The certificate should clearly identify the applicant, policy start date, cover type and insurer details. Certificate wording and document requirements can vary by insurer, visa route, consulate and date of application, so tell us in the quote form if a certificate is required and we will help.

How quickly can visa health insurance be arranged?+

It depends on the insurer, the applicants and the documentation needed, but cover can often be arranged quickly once we have your details. If your appointment or submission deadline is soon, add the date in the quote form and flag that you need urgent help, so we can prioritise your enquiry. We will then tell you what is realistic for your specific situation and how to proceed without delay.

Can applicants over 75 get a quote through you?+

We do not currently work with insurers that offer new visa-suitable private health insurance policies for applicants over 75. If you are over 75, you may need to explore public healthcare access, S1 entitlement where applicable, existing cover or specialist residency advice based on your circumstances. Younger applicants in a mixed-age family can still be reviewed, so you are welcome to send the enquiry and we will explain the available options.
